the cutest way to stay organized.
I stumbled across this today and really wanted to share it... its so cute. Not totally practical (printing one for each day. Eh.) but really cute! Maybe you could print a bunch, bind them and give them as a Christmas or Birthday gift?
first found it on pinterest, but here is her blog, and she has a link for this printable.

Currently.
Seen this on a few of my favorite blogs and thought it was fun.
Obsessing over: TJ's peppermint hot chocolate with whipped cream, all the beautiful brown boots this season, white Christmas twinkle lights, fried egg and cheese sandwiches.
Working on: our Christmas card, my last two finals for Fall quarter, a few crafts for this event!
Thinking about: my dreams for next year, Nicholas, where we will live when I graduate, when we will have little ones.
Anticipating: wintery date nights, giving meaningful gifts, more quality time with our families!
Listening to: Hotel Cafe (so good).
Drinking: coffee.
Wishing: I was better at slowing down, I had more time to experiment with meals, we had more to give to others, next quarter wont be as busy as I think it will, Nicholas was not so tired when he comes home from work.

boots!
If I ...
1. didn't feel guilty when I bought myself things I don't need
and
2. had a lot of cash
I would have a closet filled with boots.
Here are the ones I would have bought on black friday or cyber monday.
But because I...
1. don't have rain-boots and it's going to start raining soon
and
2. I don't have much cash
I used a gift card to buy these on sale at Nordstrom for $40!!
1. Steve Madden Troopa
2. Steve Madden Cablee
3. Steve Madden P Lakke
4. Steve Madden Tsunamii

the light at the end of the 2 week long tunnel.
I can see it.
My 2 papers will be turned in by Thursday at 2,
then I have two finals next week and I will be done until January!
That's my light... it's so close!
Until I'm basking in that bright happy vacation light,
I'm hanging on to the hope that is found in the comfort of these Christmas-y, cozy pins.

you probably didn't know.
For as long as I can remember I have had a major love for the Olsen twins.
I remember in high school watching their movies over and over again with girl friends, we knew that they were silly but we just loved Mary-Kate and Ashley.
I was inspired by their sense of style.
Not much has changed, except I don't watch their movies anymore...
I still think they are stunning, effortlessly so.
And they still have an incredible eye for fashion.
See.
What about you? Olsen fans or no?

mac favorites.
Although it doesn't get to happen very often... I love shopping for makeup!
I love taking my time at each counter at Nordstom, I could honestly spend hours browsing.
I don't know if this is typical or not but I am always drawn to the same things-- I have my favorite brands: Bobby Brown and Laura Mercier and my favorite types of products: I'm a total sucker for things that makes me glow... NOT SHIMMER OR GLITTER but glow.
I like highlighters, and bronzers, under eye brighteners and dewy tinted moisturizers...
I like nude lips, bold brows, and thick eyelashes but I never really bother with eyeshadow (takes the attention away from the glow maybe?)
One counter that I rarely approach however is the MAC counter... I think this is because in Jr. High it was really popular to wear MAC pressed powered and I was totally scared by it becuase it did exactly what I hated--it made me matte!! Ever since I've detested the stuff- I look back on picture of me at that age and feel so sad. Why was I so controlled by what other people where doing that I wore pressed powder even when I hated what it did to me? It didn't make me glow and look dewy and fresh it made we look dead and chalky...
Aw well.
Today I was brave.
I went up to the MAC counter and I looked at their products, I avoided the powders, and I even found a few things that I liked! Imagine that, HA.
Here they are:
[Ruby Woo Lipstick]
[Creme d' Nude Lipstick]
[Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle]
Pro-quality photos sorry... but you get the idea-- glowing-ish right?

Saturday Night.
I should be reading 2001: A Space Odyssey right now but that movie was soooo boring I can't get up the courage to even look at the book...
So instead I've been exploring and here are a few treasures I've found. Enjoy!

flannel panel definition:
Oxford English Dictionary...
Flannel, noun.
slang. Nonsense, ‘hot air’; flattery, unnecessary ostentation.
Panel, verb.
To bring to trial; to try before a court; to indict.
we have recently found these definitions and cannot decide if they are fitting or not... will our blog be a place where we indict hot air? or will we bring flattery to trial? or will we hold a court full of unnecessary ostentation?
